Sunday 2 December 2012

Two ladies from the RSPB came to work with the children on our Rainforest topic.  The children were given lots of tasks to do in a team. One of the tasks involved grouping rainforest animals into omnivores, carnivores and herbivores.  Another task included looking at different objects we use in everyday life and deciding if the objects were made with something from the rainforest.  We were all surprised when it turned out that all objects we looked at were made using something from the rainforest.

The children worked well in pairs to find a solution to a problem solving task.  They were given a piece of paper half a metre long and asked to make a snake a metre long.  All the children solved the problem and demonstrated great team work skills.
